Armidale Tree Group and Southern New England Landcare celebrate Natiional Tree Day and one of the activities is the construction of Ant Hotels – a part of the Little Things That Run The World project that SVM is documenting for this year’s Northwest Science Hubs’s Science Week activities. The construction with pallets, mulch, twigs, timber and bark, lead by Ant Expert Kirsti Abbott and students from University of New England Entymology, should provide a nice environment for insects. Local schools took part in today’s activities that included plantings, biodiversity walk and community garden tour.
