SVM’s latest commission has been to provide an animated version of Roland Wakelin’s (1937, Oil on canvas on cardboard) The Fireplace as a digital work projected at the Hoskins Centre in Armidale for the NERAM Foundation’s Winter Warmer Fundraiser, June 14.  The work references The Yule Log, created in 1966 by Fred M. Thrower.
Two projectors – a looping ten minute clip of a fire burning in the grate with crackling fire sounds, projected to either side of the main entrance to the foyer, visuals for the two dining areas at either end of the venue. Over 100 friends, supporters and members of the Foundation gathered on a cold June night to raise funds for the Museum through their annual dinner.
